Colbert takes Time 100 lead from Rain

Last Thursday’s broadcast of the Colbert Report aired how Rain, a Korean pop star, beat Stephen Colbert for the top spot in Time 100 Most influential person. Colbert decided to overtake Rain by asking his loyal supporters and viewers to vote for him. Now, not only has he surpassed Rain but it he has also surpassed other famous or rather influential people as well. Several political figures are included in the list such as Obama, Clinton, McCain, and Huckabee. Colbert has expressed his desire to be the president of the United States late last year. He only filed candidacy in the state of South Carolina. However, the Democratic party did not allow him to be part of their party so he decided to not do anything about it anymore. There has been frenzy around his alleged candidacy that even in social networking sites, such as Facebook, he was able to gather more supporters faster than Hillary or Barrack can.

Maybe Colbert is indeed an influential person. Who’s your pick? Vote at Time.com and let your opinion count!
