Campus food and more

As I have observed here in my school, most clubs and organization try to entice students to become members by bribing them with free food. Fliers announcing general meeting date and times always include the words “Free Food.” During the first few weeks of school, it was a good way to get free food and meet new people. Of course, its also a way to save up some money. The type of food ranges from appetizers to full course meals. Most are ordered from outside fast food places while some are probably home-made. As for other available campus food, there is the typical pizza, sandwich/sub, burgers, salad, and even frozen treats. I have not tried all of them but their probably not that bad. My friend’s and I usually try to check out the food place outside campus because the ones on-campus are always full. That’s my main complain here actually. There is always way too many people!
According to Princeton Review’s Best 368 Colleges 2009 edition, the following colleges have the best campus food.

Business Life?

2008
Oh wow, I feel like I really haven’t been updating much.
I have been busy with school, work, and occasionally sleep!
Meeting new people and networking is now part of my school life.
I have to do it if I want to succeed as a business major.
I am somewhat reluctant because I’m shy and not really outgoing.
But I have attended quite a few events already,
and I am slowly adjusting to this change.
I’m loving how the venues are always different.
Sometimes, they also have really interesting digital signage which explains
a lot about the companies present.
I think I should be fine as long as I learn to socialize
some more and expand my circle.
To Integrate or Not?

I found this really helpful math website, http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/
It’s been a while since I last took a real calculus class so this really helps me keep up with my math class. I don’t love math but I don’t hate it either. Challenging experience so far.
Can’t wait for this class to start making sense for my career~
Bike to a Healthier You

2008
As I have mentioned in a previous post, I gave up my car and got a bike.
I’m loving it although I sometimes miss driving. It’s quite safe to bike around our campus.
And almost every other student has a bike. Even some of the staff have them.
It’s a convenient way to get around our huge campus.
A campus tour really takes about an hour to explore the must-see places on campus.
However, I have met some people who’d prefer to just bike on exercise bikes instead.
One of the people I know does not know how to balance on a bike yet.
So, she started off with a training wheel on her bike. LOL. How weird right?
There are also some people who use a three-wheeled one.
But I guess they need it to able to lug around more stuff.
Anyway, I’d like to share some pointers to keep in mind while biking…
+ Do not be afraid to use the bike lane.
+ Helmets and pads are still necessary however uncool they look.
+ Avoid doing anything else when biking, specially using your mobile phone.
+ Scan ahead and pay attention to the road so you won’t get hit or run somebody over.
+ If you are carrying heavy stuff, consider getting a basket for your bike.
+ Just like driving a car, biking should be done in a safe speed.
